TEHRAN, Aug. 11 (MNA) -- The 5th Bismillah Festival will be held in several cities during the month of Ramazan this year, among them Tehran, Lahore, Karachi, Almaty, Hamburg, Berlin and Dhaka.
A selection of calligraphy works and graphic designs by Iranian and foreign artists will go on display at the exhibit.
Tehran’s exhibit will open on September 17 at the Niavaran Cultural Center and will run for four days.
Austria to highlight Persian paleography
TEHRAN -- The “Summer-school on Persian Codicology and Paleography” will open at the Institute of Iranian Studies of the Austrian Academy of Sciences running from September 22 to 26.
Miras-e Maktub Research Center, in collaboration with the Institute of Iranian Studies, is organizing the program in which Iranian and international experts on manuscripts will have the opportunity for mutual exchange of ideas and opinions.
Experts from the field will also presented articles during the event.
Fajr Theater Festival picks selection board members
TEHRAN -- Members of the board of selection of foreign entries to the 27th Fajr Theater Festival have been appointed.
Hamidreza Afshar, Farhad Mohandespur, Mohammad Attebaii, Naghmeh Samini and Farindokht Zahedi are the Iranian members.
The festival will run from January 21 through 30 in Tehran.
